Assisted living giant marks progress in founder’s home town of Fairfield

Benchmark Senior Living completed the first phase of construction for a new assisted living center in Fairfield that is to include a “memory care” unit for people with Alzheimer’s disease.
Benchmark was founded by CEO Tom Grape who grew up in Fairfield, with the Waltham, Mass. company having other senior residential facilities in Milford, Shelton, Trumbull, Brookfield, Ridgefield and Stamford.
Sturges Ridge of Fairfield is located at 400 Mill Plain Road adjacent to The Carolton Chronic and Convalescent Hospital nursing home. When completed in September 2018, Sturges Ridge of Fairfield will have 68 apartments with assisted living services, and 20 designed for those requiring care for dementia.
Sturges Ridge of Fairfield is opening this month an information center at 1177 Post Road in Fairfield for people to view floor plans and apply for apartments. Information is online at SturgesRidgeFairfield.com or by calling 203-774-9740.
