Prudential Connecticut Realty celebrates award recipients at annual key event

Prudential Connecticut Realty recognized and celebrated its top real estate agents, teams, and offices for all of their hard work and dedication in 2010. The event took place at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville on April 28. More than 900 sales agents and employees attended the festivities.
Prudential CT Realty's top agents were honored based on their 2010 national standings by Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, a Prudential financial company and a full-service real estate brokerage franchisor. The company also recognized employees and sales executives that have demonstrated extraordinary customer service. Based on the Walt Disney `Keys to the Kingdom' recognition program, founded by the late Walt Disney himself, employees were nominated for `Keys' throughout the year. The top Key holders were entered into a service award drawing with the chance of winning cash prizes from $250 to $10,000.
The event kicked off with an early morning vendor trade show, with more thsn 20 real estate industry related vendors from around the state, followed by a breakfast for attendees. Miss Connecticut 2010, Brittany Decker, opened the event with an acappella rendition of the National Anthem, followed by Matt Z., who rallied up the crowd with an interactive rap performed to the iconic Queen rock anthem, "We Will Rock You."

Peter Helie, CEO of Prudential, welcomed everyone and thanked them for their dedication and hard work in a challenging year. Candace Adams, president of Prudential, presented the keynote speech highlighting the past year's accomplishments, followed by a 2010 recap and a look forward to future business, initiatives and building relationships. "Human interaction will never be replaced by technology," Adams said. "I want to thank you for reaching into the lives of your clients; becoming their friend and trusted adviser. Your compassion is the true barometer of our success."
In its philanthropic efforts, the company was recently ranked the No. 2 contributor to the Sunshine Kids Foundation out of more than 600 Prudential Real Estate Affiliates in North America. The Sunshine Kids is nonprofit charity dedicated to children with cancer.
Peter Helie, Candace Adams and Jim LaBanca, vice President of relocation, presented a $285,000 check to the Sunshine Kids Foundation. The check was presented to Shannon Malone, director of operations, and Brooks Tomb, director of regional offices, and 18 year-old Sunshine Kid spokesman Kristine Duthie.
