Real Fight Club Stamford set for June 11

The Revolution Fitness Youth Foundation of Stamford is hosting "Real Fight Club Stamford" on Friday June 11 at The Stamford Ballroom of the Holiday Inn in Stamford at 7:30 p.m. The night will be consist of a three course dinner followed by six bouts featuring white collar/amateur boxers -- many boxing live for the first time -- followed by a charity auction. Tickets are priced at $100 each or tables of 10 are being sold. Proceeds will benefit Hope for Haiti, the Revolution Fitness Youth Foundation and the local chapter of USA Boxing. UConn Fairfield County Day Thursday

UConn Fairfield County Day is set for Thursday, June 3. The day begins with breakfast and a golf tournament at the Country Club of Darien at 9:45 a.m. A reception at 5:30 pm at the UConn Stamford campus is highlighted by UConn football coach Randy Edsall as the featured speaker and the induction ceremonies for the newest Fairfield County UConn Hall of Famers Mary Schmidt of Stamford and Bob Staak of Darien. Reception admission is $35. The event benefits the UConn Stamford Director's student scholarship fund, the UConn alumni chapter scholarship program, the Jasper T. Old Timers' Scholar-Athlete on June 6

The Stamford Old-Timers Association will honor four Stamford-based scholar-athletes as well as the Stamford City Baseball champions on Sunday June 6 at 6:30 p.m.at the Italian Center on Newfield Avenue. Stephanie Hom of Stamford High, Kaitlyn Della Jacono of King School, R.J. Calo of Trinity Catholic and Martha Masiarz as well as coach Jerry LaMotta are the honorees. Stamford Football Combine June 12

Bluestreak Sports Training is sponsoring the 5th Annual "Battle of the Best" Football Combine featuring the Stamford, Westhill, Trinity Catholic and King School football teams on Sat. June 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bluestreak Sports Training at 80 Largo Drive in Springdale's Riverbend Industrial Complex. Events include 40 yard dash, vertical jump, upper body strength, pro agility. The schedule has offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs going from 10 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs and tight ends perform from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. It is open to the public and admission is free.

Walk, Run Ride event set for June 6

The 15th annual Walk, Run & Ride event, benefitting Stamford Hospital's Bennett Cancer Center, is set for Sunday June 6 at Stamford's Columbus Park.

Challenged People in Motion golf event August 12

Challenged People in Motion, Inc., a 403b non-profit organization, is holding its annual charity golf tournament on Thursday August 12 at Sterling Farms Golf Club in Stamford.
