The first, a 2007 Chevy Suburban, was parked in a driveway at 9 p.m. when a resident noticed that the driver's door was ajar. On West Avenue, an unlocked 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee, also parked in a driveway, was entered and a Garmin GPS, valued at $300, was taken, police said. An IBM laptop computer valued at $1,000, a Leatherman multi-tool device valued at $70 and other miscellaneous tools with a combined value of $200 were also taken from the Subaru. The string of robberies are related, police said, as the locations were all within close proximity and the events took place within the same time frame.

A $15 cordless drill was stolen from an unlocked 1997 Honda Civic parked in a residential driveway on Weeds Landing. The theft took place sometime between the hours of 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, and 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 19.
