The Darien Library, which was closed today due to a burst pipe within the fire protection system, will reopen at 2 p.m.

The lower level area where the computers are situated and the Teen Lounge will stay closed.

Staff working the front entrance heard a loud noise and saw the water leaking, Louise Berry, the library director, said. The fire alarm also went off, forcing the building to be evacuated.

The Darien and Noroton Heights fire departments responded and are on scene.

No books were damaged, Berry said, but there may be some computer damage.
