The Darien Police Department will sponsor the Students Against Destructive Decisions Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 30 at Darien High School, 10 High School Lane.

The Darien Police Youth Division, the Department of Transportation, and Department of Motor Vehicles, state police, and the SADD Team, Safe Rides, will all be on hand to help raise awareness about driving safety.

The event will also feature driving simulators to replicate for teenagers what it is like to be in a roll-over accident or drive while drunk, according to the department.

The message is being timed to reinforce safe driving skills in advance of prom and graduation season, Sgt. Jeremiah Marron said.
