Today promises to be a bright prelude to a sunny, warm weekend in southwestern Connecticut.
The National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature will be about 70 degrees, with a west wind between 11 and 16 mph, gusting as high as 26 mph.
Tonight should be clear, with the temperature dipping to a low temperature in the mid-40s and a west wind around 9 mph.
Tomorrow will also be Saturday and warmer, with the temperature rising to the mid-70s. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
On Sunday, the NWS says, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Otherwise, skies will be partly sunny with a high temperature in the mid-70s. There remains a chance of showers Sunday night as the temperature registers a low in the mid-50s.
The outlook for Monday, the weather service says, is for cloudy skies, a chance of showers and temperatures in the upper-60s.
