Darien forecast: Early showers, later sun

Early-morning showers and clouds are expected to clear from southwestern Connecticut later today, with a return to the sunny and warm conditions that prevailed across the region all week.
After gradual clearing, the daytime temperature is expected to rise to a high in the upper-70s, with a northwest wind 7 to 14 mph.
Tonight should be clear, with a low temperature around 50 degrees and a light northwest wind.
Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-70s. Nighttime should be clear with the temperature dipping to about 50 degrees.
Monday also should be sunny, with a daytime high temperature in the mid-70s. There is a slight chance of showers Monday night, with a growing chance of showers and possible thunderstorms in the early-morning hours of Tuesday, the NWS says.
On Tuesday, showers are likely -- and potentially strong thunderstorms -- while the temperature rises to the mid-70s under cloudy skies. Nighttime showers and thunderstorms are likely, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The outlook for Wednesday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the low-70s.
