There could be more of the showers that fell early today across southwestern Connecticut later in the day, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies will remain cloudy most of the day, as the temperature rises to a high in the mid-50s. There will be an east wind around 9 mph.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, the temperature will fall to about 40 degrees and there will be a north wind around 5 mph, later becoming calm, the NWS says.

Tomorrow, skies should clear and the day is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 53 degrees.

The day will also be breezy, with a north wind 13 to 16 mph later increasing in velocity to between 21 and 24 mph, with gusts as high as high as 38 mph, the NWS warns.

Tomorrow night will be clear, but much colder than the warm spell of the last few weeks, with the temperature tumbling to the mid-20s. There will also be a north wind between 14 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday will be sunny, with a high temperature around 50. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-30s.

The outlook for Wednesday, the weather service says, is for a chance of showers after noon and a high temperature in the upper-50s.
