A slight chance of isolated showers this morning in southwestern Connecticut is the only blip -- better, drip -- on what otherwise is a bright outlook through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a percent chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. today, the NWS says, with the morning clouds gradually giving way to clearing as the temperature rises to a high in the upper-70s. The odds of precipitation are about 20 percent.

Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-40s and a north wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow, should be sunny with a high temperature about 70 degrees. Nighttime will be clear with a low temperature about 50 degrees.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Night skies will partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 60 degrees.

Sunday should be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Skies on Sunday night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.

The outlook for Monday, according to the weather service, is sunny and the 70s.
