There may be a stormy end to what otherwise should be a nice day in southwestern Connecticut, according to the National Weather Service.
Daytime skies will be sunny, the NWS says, with a high temperature in the upper-80s. There will be a light west wind, becoming south 6 to 11 mph.
Tonight, however, showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., the NWS says. Some of the storms could trigger heavy rain, as temperatures dip to the upper-60s.
Tomorrow, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 p.m. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
Sunday promises to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Nighttime will bring a chance of showers as clouds move in and the temperature declines to the low-60s.
Monday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature near 80 degrees. Monday night should be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s.
The outlook for Tuesday, the weather service says, is mostly sunny and a high temperature about 80 degrees.
