Overnight rain and gusty winds are expected to gradually ease this morning and skies will later become partly sunny, according to the National Weather Service.

The stormy conditions across southwestern Connecticut should clear by midday and, as the sun emerges, the temperature will rise to a daytime high in the mid-70s. There will be an east wind 9 to 14 mph becoming southwest.

Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s, the NWS says.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s and a west wind between 7 and 13 mph. There is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow night as clouds move in and the temperature dips to a low in the mid-50s.

On Monday, under cloudy skies there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. The temperature will rise to a high in the upper-60s. Nighttime will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.

The outlook for Tuesday, the weather service predicts, is mostly cloudy and temperatures in the upper-60s.
