Darien forecast: Skies clear, temps fall

Early-morning showers will be clearing from southwestern Connecticut later today, but the relatively warm temperatures of the last few days will also be gone.
As morning clouds gradually fade and skies brighten, the National Weather Service says the daytime high temperature should rise to a high in the mid-50s before it starts to drop. There will be a northwest wind 7 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Tonight will be clear and much colder, as the temperature dips to a low in the mid-20s. There will be a northwest wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Tomorrow will be sunny, with a high temperature about 40 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-30s.
On Friday, there is a chance of showers after noon. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the upper-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Friday night, showers remain possible with a low temperature in the upper-30s. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
Saturday could see more showers as skies remain cloudy and the temperature rises to a high in the mid-50s. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Showers are also possible Saturday night as the low temperature registers in the mid-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is cloudy and temperatures about 50 degrees.
