This morning's sunny skies are expected to cloud over this afternoon, the National Weather Service says, with showers possible through the rest of the day.

The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut should rise to the mid-60s, with a south wind 5 to 10 mph that will increase to 11 to 16 mph in the afternoon. Chance of daytime precipitation is 40 percent, the NWS says.

Tonight, there is a 60 percent chance of precipitation -- including thunderstorms -- as the temperature dips to a low of about 50 degrees. There will be a south wind 5 to 10 mph, becoming northwest after midnight.

Tomorrow should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s and a northwest wind 6 to 13 mph. Nighttime should be mostly clear, with a low temperature about 50 degrees.

Friday also should be sunny, with a high temperature in the low-70s. Night skies will be partly cloudy, with a low around temperature about 50 degrees.

On Saturday, skies are expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature rising to about 70 degrees. Night skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low temperature about 50 degrees.

The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is cloudy and temperatures in the 60s.
