Darien forecast: Sun warms things up a bit

With overnight temperatures tumbling into the 30s in parts of southwestern Connecticut, somewhat warmer temperatures will prevail today, according to the National Weather Service.
Skies will be sunny as the temperature rises to a daytime high of about 70 degrees, with a southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
Tonight will be Clear, with a low temperature in the upper-40s and a south wind around 5 mph.
Thursday also will be sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s, the NWS predicts. Nighttime will be mostly clear, with a low temperature in the low-50s.
On Friday, skies will be sunny again, with a high temperature in the high-70s. Overnight, patchy fog may settle over parts of the region as the temperature registers a low of about 60 degrees.
Saturday brings a 30 percent of daytime showers, the NWS says. Otherwise, skies are expected to be partly sunny, with a high temperature in the mid-70s. By nighttime, there is a 40 percent chance of precipitation as clouds move in and the temperature dips to a low in the low-60s.
The outlook for Sunday, according to the weather service, is cloudy, possible showers and temperatures in the 70s.
