The work week starts on a sunny, relatively cool note -- conditions that should prevail most of this first full week of fall in southwestern Connecticut -- with the exception of a mid-week blip.
The National Weather Service says that the daytime high temperature today will be in the upper-60s under bright skies, with a west wind 5 to 11 mph.
Tonight should be mostly clear, with a low temperature about 50 degrees and a southwest wind around 7 mph.
Tomorrow should be sunny and a little warmer, with a high temperature in the low-70s. There is a slight chance of showers overnight, the NWS says, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
On Wednesday, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Skies are expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. There remains a chance of precipitation Wednesday night with a low temperature in the mid-50s.
Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-60s. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature around 50 degrees.
The outlook for Friday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the upper-60s.
