After a cloudy day and overnight rain, skies will clear today across southwestern Connecticut, setting the stage for what looks like a nice weekend.

The National Weather Service forecasts that today will be mostly sunny and the temperature will rise to a daytime high in the mid-80s, with a northwest wind becoming west 6 to 11 mph.

Tonight, the NWS says there is a 20 percent chance of isolated showers before midnight. Skies will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the low-60s and a southwest wind 3 to 8 mph.

Tomorrow should be partly cloudy, although there is a 30 percent chance of showers after noon. The high temperature will be about 80 degrees.

Tomorrow night is expected to be cloudy, with a 20 percent chance of showers before 9 p.m. and a low temperature in the mid-60s.

Sunday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-80s. Sunday night should mostly clear, with a low temperature in the mid-50s.

Monday also will be sunny, with a high temperature in the upper-70s. Night skies will be mostly clear with the temperature dipping to a low of about 60 degrees.

The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, will be mostly sunny and temperatures about 80 degrees.
