Darien forecast: Wet & warming

Rain is in today's forecast for southwestern Connecticut -- and, at least periodically, clouds the outlook for the rest of the weekend.
The National Weather Service says there is about a 50 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. today, as the daytime high temperature rises to about 40 degrees. There will be a wind from the southeast 5 to 7 mph.
Rain is expected to continue falling tonight, as patchy fog moves into parts of the region and the temperature remains about 40 degrees. There will be a southeast wind 3 to 8 mph; chance of precipitation is 90 percent,
Tomorrow, when fog lifts after 9 a.m., skies are expected to be partly sunny and the temperature should rise to a high near 50 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 40 degrees.
On Sunday, there is a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the NWS predicts. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high temperature rising to the mid-50s. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. Showers remain possible late Sunday and early Monday, as the temperature registers a low in the low-40s. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
Monday brings another chance of showers, with cloud and a high temperature about 50 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Showers remain possible Monday night, as the temperature dips to a low in the low-30s. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
The outlook for Tuesday, according to the weather service, is for cloudy skies and possible rain/snow showers.
