Darien forecast: Wintry mix on the way

Today will be cloudy and colder than yesterday, according to the National Weather Service, with a wintry mix of rain, snow and sleet likely overnight.
The daytime high temperature in southwestern Connecticut will be in the low-40s, with a north wind 6 to 8 mph.
Tonight, the freezing precipitation is expected between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Wednesday, with the temperature dipping to a low of about 30 degrees. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent, the NWS says.
More snow and rain are likely tomorrow before 2 p.m., later changing to all rain as the temperature climbs to a high in the upper-30s. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent.
Tomorrow night will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 30 degrees.
Thursday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature about 40 degrees. Nighttime will be partly cloudy, with a low temperature about 20 degrees.
Friday should be mostly sunny, with a high temperature in the low-30s. Friday night is expected to be partly cloudy, with a low temperature in the mid-20s.
The outlook for Saturday, according to the weather service, is mostly sunny and temperatures in the 40s.
