Jeffrey Freeman, 76, of Darien Close, was charged with disorderly conduct on May 8 after a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend at their home, according to Darien Police Sgt. Jeremiah Marron.

Police responded to the Darien Close residence at 1:15 p.m. Friday on a report and witnessed Freeman and the victim at the bottom of the basement steps of the home.

The victim told police Freeman had shoved her, knocking her into a table, scattering medication and other items onto the floor, Marron said.

Freeman told police there was no physical fight, but he was blocking her path in an attempt to force her to pick up the objects, which he maintained she knocked down deliberately, Marron said.
