NORWALK -- A tractor-trailer rolled over on Interstate 95 southbound near exit 15, shutting down the highway at the height of rush hour.

The tractor-trailer struck a barrier and two other vehicles, State Police spokesman Donna Tadiello said. The injuries reported were mild to moderate, and not life-threatening, she said.

Police were diverting traffic from exit 15 to Route 7, and then back onto the highway from an exit ramp.

Police did not have information on the passengers in the vehicles. The truck was carrying produce, so the state Department of Consumer Protection responded. The fire department also responded, and said cleanup by the Department of Energy & Environmental Protection would not be necessary.

Department of Transportation cameras show traffic backed up to about exit 18 on I-95.
