Inspired by Hilary Mantel's best-selling book and the popular new Masterpiece Theatre miniseries on PBS, the Darien Arts Center, together with the Darien Library, is presenting "An Evening at Wolf Hall," a concert featuring authentic music from 16th-century England. The concert will take place on May 3 at 5 p.m. at the Darien Library, 1440 Post Road.

"An Evening of Music at Wolf Hall" will provide a glimpse into the music of the time period -- the age of Thomas Cromwell, Henry VIII and Sir Thomas More.

Jason Priset, director of the Lute Society of America Summer Seminar, and his colleague, Peter Walker, a renowned Renaissance instrumentalist and vocalist, will perform at the concert on authentic instruments, including the lute and Renaissance bagpipes. Members of the Darien High School Tudor Singers will collaborate with them.

No reservations are necessary. Additional parking is available on Thorndale Circle.
