Nielsen's Florist raised $2,750 for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.

Nielsen's hosted two separate events in its conservatory to benefit the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, based in Stamford. At the first event, "Home for the Holidays," ticket sales from the 200 guests went straight to the food bank, as well as 10 percent of the evening sales.

The second event, co-hosted with the Fairfield County Alumnae Association of Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi sororities, also donated 10 percent of all sales during the evening.

The money raised from these two events will help the food bank to replenish its stock.

For information, call the food bank at 203-358-8898.
