Opus supports new mothers

Thanks to the generosity of our community, Opus for Person-to-Person was able to help an increasing number of new mothers in need by providing newborn essentials.
We offer our sincere gratitude to Darien for supporting our annual layette drive last month. In one week, we collected a plethora of pajamas, outfits, blankets, diapers, books and many more baby essentials. All of these items will be delivered in layettes to new mothers in need at the Stamford and Norwalk Hospitals as part of our Baby Basics program.
Opus is also grateful to the families at The Holly Pond School, Noroton Presbyterian Nursery School, The Happiness Preschool at St. Thomas More, St. Luke's Parish School, Methodist Family Center Preschool, St. John Preschool, United Church Nursery School in Rowayton, and First Congregational Nursery School for their generous donations.

In addition, we extend our heartfelt thanks to local businesses for helping us to increase awareness and promote the drive, and to those Darienites who graciously donated baby items directly to Person-to-Person. This year's drive helped to significantly increase our inventory levels, which will go a long way in allowing us to help more mothers in need.
Donations of new and gently used items for babies 0 to 12 months are accepted at Person-to-Person all year long. Please contact Hope Barton at email@example.com to learn more about Baby Basics volunteer opportunities.
