Three New York men were each released on $25,000 bond after Darien police arrested them on multiple fraud charges Saturday, March 16.

According to the report, police received a complaint at about 2 p.m. that a man tried to purchase items at CVS, 984 Post Road, using a fraudulent credit card. He left the store and attempted the flee the area in a red Nissan Altima, the report stated.

An officer responding to the incident located and stopped the vehicle. Upon further investigation, the officer learned the three men in the car had numerous fraudulent or stolen credit cards and a "substantial amount of cash" in their possession, police said.

Michael D. Harris, 24, of 57th Avenue, Corona, N.Y., is facing 13 counts of possession of illegal/fraudulent credit card; one count of unlawful use of a credit card; one count of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny; and one count of attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Dave O. Obaseki, 22, of 217th Street, Cambria Heights, N.Y., is facing six counts of possession of illegal/fraudulent credit card; one count of conspiracy to unlawful use of a credit card; and one count of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

Shaquell D. Caldwell, 22, of 57th Avenue, Corona, N.Y., is facing one count of conspiracy to unlawful use of a credit card and one count of conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny.

The three men are scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court March 26.
