DARIEN — Tradition and elegance mingled with a spirited good time for two generations when the Darien Community Association hosted its second annual Mother-Daughter Nutcracker Tea on Sunday morning.

“We started it last year,” said Amy Bell, executive director, noting the partnership with both Palmer’s Market and the Darien Arts Center “We wanted to be able to do it again.”

For a second year a sold-out crowd of 150 enjoyed dressing up, fancy finger foods, and specially performed scenes from “The Nutcracker” by members of the center’s dance troupe.
