Nearly $500 worth of ink cartridges were stolen from CVS, 964 Post Road, Darien, Nov. 7.

Police said video surveillance showed a woman entering the CVS with a black bag over her shoulder and went to where the ink cartridges were kept.

She was then seen exiting the store with a colorful Hallmark gift bag, which are kept across from the ink cartridges, according to the report. The video does not show the cartridges being stolen, police said.

Seventeen cartridges were stolen, valued at $474.83; the gift bag value is estimated at $5.

A key was required to unlock the ink cartridges but police suspect the woman had a key, according to the report.
