$2.3 mil lottery ticket sold in Fairfield County

ROCKY HILL -- One person is about to be $2.3 million richer after winning Tuesday's drawing of the Classic Lotto Jackpot.

The Classic Lotto winning numbers on May 22 were 7,14, 15, 24, 33 and 43. The winning ticket was sold in Fairfield County.

Classic Lotto's jackpot has been growing since it was last won on March 30 when two winning tickets split the $4.6 million jackpot.

The overall chance of winning a prize in Classic Lotto is 1 in 39.3. The chance of winning the jackpot is 1 in approximately 7.1 million.

Players have 180 days from the date of drawing to claim a winning ticket. Tuesday's ticket expires on November 18, 2012.
