A 70-year-old Norwalk woman reported that she had lost her ring while shopping at Stop & Shop, 25 Old Kings Highway North, Darien, June 24, police said.
The woman told police that she believed the $450 gold pinky ring with a 0.88-karat sapphire and 0.07-karat diamond slipped off her finger while she was cleaning off her hands, police said.
She noticed the ring was missing when she returned home and searched the house and her car before returning to Stop & Shop to search for it, according to police. She was unable to find it.
