The Darien Arts Center invites you to a Darien Players production of "A Month In The Country," written by Ivan Turgenev and directed by Jeanine DeFalco. The play premieres this weekend at Darien Arts Center's Weatherstone Studio.

The play features Holly Aladin, Nancy Anderson, Annalisa DiNucci, Jessie A. Gilbert, Larry Greeley, Peter Green, William Gross, Christopher Luongo, Raymond G. Michaud, Glenn Packman, Rachel Rothman-Cohen and Jeffrey F. Wright II.

In the play, Natalya Petrovna has now suffered a long and frustrating marriage. She has taken comfort in the love of a family friend, but even he has come to represent the same kind of boredom Natalya finds with her doting husband. Instead, it is Aleksey, her son's dashing 21-year-old tutor, whom Natalya now desires. Natalya's ward Vera, though, can't help but compete for the tutor's affections. When she learns that a neighboring landowner wants to marry Vera, Natalya seizes the chance to remove the only obstacle between her and seducing away the young Aleksey. Risking her home, her marriage and even the only man who's ever sworn to stand by her may prove to be too much.

Performance Dates are March 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 at 8 p.m. and March 14, 21, at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens.
