'Achieving balance' luncheon speaker's topic

Norah O'Donnell, the chief White House correspondent for CBS News, will address "Work and Family: Achieving Balance and Leaving Time For Yourself" at STAR Inc., Lighting the Way's luncheon Thursday, April 3, at the Woodway Country Club in Darien.
The luncheon, which will take place from noon to 2 p.m., will benefit STAR's programs and services for people with developmental disabilities. The luncheon will be moderated by Sharon Crowley, TV reporter and anchor for WNYW Fox5 News.
O'Donnell also is the co-anchor of CBS This Morning, substitute anchor for Face the Nation and contributor for 60 Minutes.
She covered the 2008 presidential election and the terrorist attack on the Pentagon and traveled extensively with former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and reporting on the war in Afghanistan and the war on terrorism.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, O'Donnell graduated from Georgetown University with Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. She is the author of "Baby Love: Healthy, Easy Delicious Meals for Your Baby and Todder," and the mother of three. She is married to restaurateur Geoff Tracy.
