On Friday, April 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., Atria Darien will host an art opening and wine reception featuring the work of Tina D'Andrea Schraff. Schraff's work will be on display through the end of April.

Schraff is a native of Fairfield County who established herself as a hair designer and owner of a successful salon. After 30 years, she sold her business to pursue a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City. It was during this time that she realized her passion for art.

For the past 11 years she has studied at Silvermine Art School and Rowayton Art Center and has taken classes in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She has exhibited at Burr Mansion in Fairfield, Southport Pequot Library, Rowayton Art Center and Simply Posh Gallery in Las Cruses, New Mexico.

The Gratia Gillespie Art Gallery is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. For more information, call 203-662-1090.
