Rocco Arlotta, 37, of 10 Huntington Turnpike in Bridgeport, was charged with threatening on Aug. 20. The victim was a female resident of Avalon Darien, 137 Hollow Tree Ridge Road. The victim recently renewed a relationship with Arlotta, a former boyfriend, after he was released from prison. During their second go at a relationship, Arlotta became abusive toward her and she opted to end the relationship, according to a police report.

On Aug. 19, Arlotta began calling the victim on her cellphone and the calls became more frequent, threatening and aggressive, according to the report. Darien police were then called, and discovered Arlotta was staying with his family in Stamford, according to the report.

Stamford Police took him into custody and held him in lieu of a $25,000 bond. He was arraigned Aug. 20.

Arlotta is on parole for a conviction of first-degree assault. As a result of the Darien arrest, the Connecticut Department of Corrections also issued a remand to custody order for Arlotta.
