DARIEN — A man driving a U-Haul stole a broken shopping cart from behind a local grocery store.
Surveillance footage shows on Feb. 27 around 3 p.m., a U-Haul pulled up next to the dumpster behind Palmer’s at 246 Heights Road. The driver
put a single shopping cart into it before exiting onto Edgerton Street.
Palmer’s management said the cart was already damaged, which is why it was in the rear by the dumpster. The cart was valued around $150.
