UPDATE: According to the state's attorney, the case against Claudia Huydic was dismissed.
Claudia Huydic, 34, of 241 Turkey Roost Road, Monroe, was arrested March 14 on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
A Darien officer conducting radar on Hoyt Street reported that a red Subaru Legacy drove north in the southbound lane on Hoyt Street at 1:30 a.m., according to the report. While following the car, the officer reported seeing it swerve between lanes and almost strike a utility pole.
After the officer stopped the car and asked Huydic for her driver's license, she produced AAA and insurance cards, according to the report. When the officer asked for the correct document, Huydic said she already did, the report stated.
Additionally, when the officer asked her to turn off the car, she had difficulty doing so, according to police.
In addition to detecting an odor of alcohol, the officer reported that Huydic's speech was slow and slurred, police said. Huydic told police she had been at Cask Republic in Stamford where she drank three apple martinis with friends from work, the report stated.
She was administered field sobriety tests, which she failed, according to police.
She was held in lieu of $250 bond and was scheduled to appear in court March 16.
