Cashiers allegedly sold alcohol to minors

BREWSTER ___ Six cashiers allegedly sold alcohol to minors on Saturday when New York state police conducted an Underage Drinking Identification Enforcement Program. Arrested were Thomas Gomez, 58, of Brewster, an employee at Getty Mart; Sitaram Bist, 30, of Mahopac, employee of Sunoco Mart; Bikash Shrestha, 35, of Mahopac, employee of Mobil Mart; Mohamed Osaim, 56, of Brooklyn, employee of Citgo Mart; Miguel Sandoval, 29, of Brewster, employee of Maximum Deli; and William Mcjia, 26, of Brewster, employee of Mobil Mart. Cashiers at 12 other establishments refused to sell alcohol to the underage customers.
