A Verizon Blackberry Curve, valued at $300, was reported stolen Jan. 4 after the female owner left it in her bag while she attended gym class. The female student told police another student's phone was taken as well but no report was filed, police said.

A Verizon iPhone, valued at $200, was reported stolen Jan. 5 after it was left in an unlocked locker at the Darien YMCA. The phone was left in the locker at 4 p.m. and when the owner returned at 5:15 p.m. the phone was gone, police said.

Eduardo Lenard, 23, of Norwalk, was charged with sixth-degree larceny Jan. 6 after a Goodwives Stop & Shop employee reported her cellphone was stolen.

The employee told police she left the store at 3:30 p.m. when she noticed her Blackberry Curve cellphone, valued at $400, was missing, police said. Surveillance footage showed Lenard taking the cell phone at 3:08 p.m., police said.

Lenard posted a $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 17.
