The seventh annual Darien Collector's Car Show will take place at Tilley Pond Park June 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
More than 120 vintage and modern high-performance cars will be on display.
"Last year, the "Best in Show" winner was a `53 C-Type Jaguar that has been in the same family since being retired from a successful Grand Prix racing career," said Charlie England, the show's organizer and classic car owner.
"The C-Type is one of only 12, I believe, which are known to exist today.
The show attracts cars from all over, including seven from Greenwich, 18 from Stamford, 25 from Rowayton and Norwalk, seven from Westport and six each from Wilton and Fairfield. Entries from the Caffeine and Carburetors group of New Canaan will be included this year.
"We work very hard at including the highest quality cars," England said.
"We get many enthusiastic volunteers from the high school and from Aging in Place+Gallivant, the charity the show supports. We are training Darien High School students on how to judge cars."
Awards will be given for Best in Show, DHS Best in Show, Best Original Car and People's Choice.
Admission is $5. Children under 6 are free. The rain date is June 24th. Visit http://dariencollectorscarshow.com or call 203-912-8720. Proceeds will benefit Aging in Place+Gallivant which helps Darien seniors remain in their homes and community as they age.
The sponsors are Darien BMW, Collectors Car Garage in Bedford Hills, GPNY in Mt Kisco and Automotive Restorations Inc. in Stratford.
