"We are extremely grateful to the First Congregational Church of Darien for making us the recipient for this year's preview party proceeds," Alan J. Mathis, president and CEO of Liberation Programs, said. "It was an extraordinary event and their vision and commitment to helping others in the community is to be commended."
The annual three-day event raises funds that support multiple causes selected by the church's board of outreach. Overall, the show netted more than $30,000, which was distributed to area charities, according to a news release from Liberation Programs.
The funds will help Liberation Programs carry out the mission of providing substance abuse treatment that helps individuals and families restore their lives.
Services include outpatient and residential programs, those for older adults and people living with HIV/AIDS, and substance abuse education and prevention activities in the community.
The services are available to residents throughout lower Fairfield County.
