About $800 of copper piping was stolen from Tokeneke Trail home.
On March 22, Darien police met with the general contractor of the home, which is being renovated, who said his plumber reported that 1.5-inch copper vent pipes had been cut and removed.
The contractor estimated that 80 linear feet of piping had been removed. The plumber noticed the missing piping two weeks prior to reporting it, police said. He assumed that they had been accidentally removed during the demolition of the home, police said.
