DARIEN — One Darien juvenile was charged with providing alcohol to minors after police broke up an underage drinking party in February.
Officers were called to 23 Richmond Drive around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 20 after receiving a complaint of an underage party through the department’s anonymous tip line, according to a police report.
Officers arriving on the scene saw a number of youths running through the woods into adjoining properties. A 30-pack of Keystone Light was left out on the front lawn. Beer cans and Solo cups were visible on an outdoor table.
Two 16-year-old Darien residents remained at the party, one of whom was charged with providing alcohol to minors. He was turned over to his father ahead of a March 14 court date.
