The Darien Arts Center seeks artwork from artists of all ages for the 54th Annual Darien Art Show & Sale. The deadline to submit artwork is this weekend, May The Art Show & Sale will be open for viewing Saturday, June 2, through, Sunday, June 9, noon to 5 p.m.

Entry is open to students and adults who live or work in Darien or take classes at the Darien Arts Center. Non-residents may also enter the show with a donation to the organization. Entries are welcome in a variety of media, including: oils and acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, sculpture, photography (color and black and white), drawings, graphics and pastels.

Participants may enter up to two pieces of artwork. Adults must present the second piece for sale. There is a registration fee of $20 per submission for adults and $10 per student. All interested artists are encouraged to pre-register online now through the center's website, arts.darien.org.

Artists may bring their artwork to the DAC Weatherstone Studio, behind Town Hall, on Sunday, May 27, from noon to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, May 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. Entries must be ready to hang with a wire on the back, or, if needed, the DAC will provide assistance with wiring at the drop off site for a small fee. Framed art should not be more than 40 inches by 40 inches.

Founded in 1975, the Darien Arts Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing visual and performing arts programs and events for the community. The DAC offers educational programs in dance, visual arts, theatre and music and performances, by the Darien Players, and Cabaret Theatre.
