The Darien Democratic Town Committee will host a fall fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 22, to introduce the Democratic candidates for the municipal election.
The event will take place at the Weed Beach Paddle Hut from 5 to 7 p.m.
Appetizers and cocktails will be served.
The candidates are Board of Selectmen, Kip Hall and Reilly Tierney; Board of Education, Shannon Silsby and Callie Sullivan; Board of Finance, Frank Huck; Planning and Zoning, Eric Voight; tax collector, Tom Valentino; and Board of Assessment Appeals, Sharad Samy.
"We are thrilled to introduce our candidates to the public at this fun, relaxing event," said Randy Klein, chairman of the DTC. "It gives voters a chance to meet them up close and personal and to also mingle with other important state and local leaders.
"We are really proud of the devoted individuals that serve our community and continue to strive to make Darien the best place to live and raise a family."
Tickets are $50 at the door.
