Danbury man, 24, faces sexual assault charges

DANBURY ___ Police arrested a 24-year-old Danbury man Thursday on a variety of charges, including sexual assault and risk of injury, in connection with three separate incidents earlier this year.

Juan Jose Valenzuela of Maple Avenue was taken into custody by officers from the patrol division as the result of investigations by the Youth Bureau.

Valenzuela was charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault for an incident on Jan. 29, attempted second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury for incidents during March and April, and third-degree assault and breach of peace for a domestic incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 8.

He was released on $10,000 bail for a court appearance today.
