Danbury man to bike across the U.S.

DANBURY -- In a bid to increase public awareness about affordable housing, Danbury college student Jeffrey Cohen is planning to ride his bike cross country to raise funds.

Cohen, 19, a sophomore at Brown University in Providence, R.I., will ride in a team of 30 students from Providence to Seattle. Their more than 3,000 mile trip begins in June and ends early August and has been organized by the New York City-based Bike and Build.

"It seems like a wonderful thing to do," says Cohen who is now trying to raise $4,000 in sponsorship money.
