Darien GOP seeking November candidates

The Darien Republican Town Committee is looking for candidates for the upcoming 2013 municipal election.

Darien voters will cast their ballot for first selectman; members of the boards of Selectmen, Finance, Education and Assessment Appeals and Planning and Zoning Commission; town clerk; town treasurer; tax collector and constables.

The RTC is also looking for volunteers for various appointed positions on the Architectural Review Board, Beautification Commission, Monuments and Ceremonies Commission, Parks and Recreation and Youth Commission. Meetings generally are conducted monthly in the evenings.

To be considered by the RTC for elected and appointed positions, candidates must be Darien residents and registered Republicans.
