Police charged David Belton, 19, of Stamford Place in Bridgeport, Sept. 13 in relation to a string of burglaries in June.

Belton was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, 17 counts of third-degree burglary, and conspiracy to commit first- and third-degree burglary, police said.

According to police, Belton was the fifth person identified in a string of car burglaries and two residential burglaries that took place on the same night in June. Bridgeport Police charged Belton in another matter, and contacted Darien officers when they learned of the warrant, which was issued July 25.

Police said Belton was the last suspect arrested in the June burglaries.

Belton was held on a $100,000 bond and was arraigned on Sept. 14
