Darien Police charged a Stamford man with driving under the influence, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, operating a vehicle with a suspended license and failure to return suspended license on Sept. 21.

Ravi Anand, 43, of 28 Greenfield Road, was seen at approximately 12:05 a.m. driving a 2004 GMC Savana on the Post Road, according to police.

Police observed Anand exiting I-95 South at exit 13 and turn left onto Post Road, proceeding to travel westbound in the eastbound travel lane. Police stopped him as he began to re-enter I-95 South at entrance 13.

The officer said he detected an odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle, and Anand subsequently failed his field sobriety tests.

Anand posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 1.
