Police responded to two reports of bicycle larceny last week. The first bicycle was reported missing at 8 a.m. on Aug. 21 and the owner had last seen it on Aug. 15 at the westbound Darien railroad station parking lot. It was described as a black and white Trek, according to a report. The value of the bicycle is unknown, but police said it was secured with a chain and combination lock.

The second bicycle was reported stolen Aug. 24 from the eastbound Darien railroad station parking lot. The bicycle was described as a green and black Trek mountain bike and was valued at $200, according to a report.

Police said the helmet attached to the bike was also stolen. The owner locked the bike with a padlock around 8:15 a.m. and discovered it missing when he returned around 5:10 p.m., according to the report.
