DARIEN — Police responded to the Aval Hair Salon to settle a dispute on June 27 after a customer refused to leave after having dye put in her hair.

Around 3:10 p.m., an officer went to the Post Road business after a report of a customer who refused to leave. The customer said the salon was not accommodating her handicap so she could sit comfortably while employees removed dye from her hair. The salon owner said the woman had been able to sit comfortably for 45 minutes as the dye was applied.

The officers worked out an agreement so the woman could have the dye removed, but ultimately, she left before the salon could finish. The owner agreed to let the woman leave without paying, but asked her not to return to the salon. The woman agreed to this arrangement.
